Improving the Lives of
North County Cats

Thank you for visiting
North County Paws Cause

We are an all-volunteer group working to improve the lives of cats in northern San Luis Obispo County on California's Central Coast. We reduce the number of unwanted kittens born each year and help keep North County cats out of the county shelter. We trap-neuter-return (TNR) feral cats, manage cat colonies, assist low income pet owners and rescue/adopt when we can.

Spay Day and Other News

Our third annual Spay Day is coming up on Sunday, February 23. You can sponsor a spay/neuter for one cat for just $10. Find out how it all works here.

The biggest Trap-Neuter-Return project we have ever taken on is underway at the Atascadero Creek. Read about our progress and see photos of the action.

The Paws Cause blog is up and running. Check it out for info, updates, and just general musings about all things cat.

One of last year's foster kittens became a special angel for a cancer patient in SLO this winter. See how Rusty eased Wendy's last days.
